Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Immigration Attorney to join its team in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is ideal for a professional who deeply understands business immigration law. The role offers a hybrid work schedule, with the opportunity to work remotely 1-2 days a week. The firm is seeking candidates who can provide legal counsel across various industries and manage immigration compliance systems effectively.

Duties

  • Oversee preparation and filing of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions (e.g., L-1, H-1B, TN, O-1, E-2, PERM, I-130, EB1a/b/c, I-140, I-485)
  • Train and manage a team of paralegals to support immigration case processing
  • Provide regular updates and communicate case progress with clients
  • Attend USCIS interviews at the Pittsburgh Field Office as required
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in business immigration law
  • Advise clients on I-9 and E-Verify compliance, as well as corporate immigration policies and strategies
  • Counsel clients through the PERM labor certification process
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and internal team members

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in business immigration law
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various U.S. immigration processes, including employer-sponsored petitions, consular practice, and family-based applications
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
  • Strong legal judgment and ability to articulate legal strategies
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse industries and maintain U.S. immigration statuses for employees
  • Must be willing to work on-site in Pittsburgh, PA, with occasional remote work

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school (foreign LLMs not considered)

Certifications

  • Active U.S. bar license (required)
