The ideal candidate will be provided with substantial mentorship from senior attorneys, engaging in hands-on case strategy and courtroom experience. Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters through all stages of litigation.
  • Prepare and draft essential legal documents, including complaints and motions.
  • Assist in preparing clients for depositions and hearings.
  • Take and defend depositions throughout the litigation process.
  • Attend court appearances and participate in mediations.
  • Negotiate settlements for personal injury claims, ensuring favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with investigation teams on case details and litigation strategy.
  • Draft discovery-related correspondence, such as meeting and conferring letters to opposing counsel.
  • Support senior attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of pre-litigation case management and discovery processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership and good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Effective negotiation and settlement skills.
  • Familiarity with litigation software and legal tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
