Job Overview:
A leading and rapidly growing personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to manage a high-volume caseload and serve as lead counsel in jury trials. Location:

  • Nashville, TN

Duties:

  • Manage High-Volume Caseload: Oversee approximately 150 cases, with around 50 actively in litigation each month, guiding each from intake through settlement or jury verdict.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain proactive, transparent communication with clients, ensuring they are well-informed and supported throughout the legal process.
  • Conduct Key Litigation Activities: Perform depositions, draft and respond to motions, lead mediations, and develop comprehensive case strategies.
  • Trial Advocacy: Serve as lead counsel in jury trials, advocating passionately to secure favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Legal Experience: A minimum of 3 years practicing personal injury or civil litigation, with 5-8 years preferred. Experience on either the plaintiff or defense side is valuable, with plaintiff-side experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Active and in good standing with the local State Bar. Multiple state bar admissions are a plus.
  • Trial Experience: At least 5+ first-chair trial verdicts required. 10+ first-chair jury verdicts are preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate case strategies and engage effectively with clients and team members.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active State Bar License (TN or other jurisdictions)

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent trial advocacy and negotiation abilities
  • Client-focused with a passion for helping others
