A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Commercial and Real Estate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in commercial finance, real estate, and/or corporate litigation and transactional matters. The role involves working with shareholders to represent banks, financial institutions, and borrowers in commercial loans and real estate transactions and handling complex commercial litigation. Responsibilities:

  • Work with shareholders to represent banks, financial institutions, and borrowers in commercial loans and real estate transactions.
  • Handle complex commercial litigation matters, including civil disputes involving business torts, breach of contract, banking regulations, corporate governance, fraud, foreign judgments, injunctions, appeals, real estate matters, pre-litigation strategies, e-discovery, and complex discovery.
  • Research and analyze legal sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, constitutions, and legal codes.
  • Manage all discovery phases, including propounding and responding to written discovery, electronic document production, and taking and defending depositions.
  • Prepare legal briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and other necessary legal documentation.
  • Formulate legal strategy and manage cases effectively.
  • Appear in court for status conferences, hearings, and trials.
  • Work closely with other attorneys and team members on legal matters.
  • Communicate with clients, providing status reports and legal advice.
  • Travel as required for case matters and client meetings.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial finance, real estate, and/or corporate litigation and transactional matters.
  • Proven ability to manage complex commercial litigation and real estate transactions.
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas State Bar is mandatory.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to draft clear, concise, and effective legal documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
