Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a North Carolina Licensed Attorney with a passion for personal injury law to join its team in Wilmington, NC. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in personal injury pre-litigation or litigation. This position offers an opportunity for professional growth, and the attorney will be responsible for developing case strategies, preparing legal documents, and representing clients to achieve optimal outcomes. A collaborative mindset and the ability to engage with both clients and colleagues are essential.

Location:
Wilmington, NC

Duties:

  • Analyze evidence, including medical records and investigative findings
  • Interview clients and witnesses, consult field experts, and research statutes and case law
  • Prepare legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, and other correspondence
  • Collaborate with Senior Attorneys to determine case strategies and solutions
  • Resolve cases through mediation, arbitration, and trial
  • Participate in marketing initiatives, including podcasts, blogs, and advertising campaigns

Requirements:

  • Active member of the North Carolina Bar Association (required)
  • Active member of the South Carolina Bar Association (a plus)
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in personal injury pre-litigation or litigation
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in writing, research, negotiation, and public speaking
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Experience with Needles Neos Case Management Software (preferred)
  • Passion for client advocacy and maintaining a positive attitude

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in North Carolina (required)
  • Active Bar membership in South Carolina (preferred)

Skills:

  • Legal research, writing, and case analysis
