Job Overview:
A rapidly growing law firm in Orlando, FL, is seeking a motivated and experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. The attorney will handle personal injury and property damage cases, focusing on litigation from pre-suit to trial. This role involves working with a dedicated team of paralegals and legal assistants and participating in numerous jury trials throughout Florida each year.

Location:

  • Orlando, FL

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of 35-40 personal injury and property damage litigation files.
  • Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from case preparation to settlement or trial.
  • Participate in numerous jury trials each year throughout Florida.
  • Conduct motion practice, fact and expert witness depositions, and general discovery.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to prepare cases for trial.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed throughout their cases.
  • Participate in seminars and workshops to continuously improve trial skills.
  • Provide client representation in court without the need to handle pre-litigation cases.

Requirements:

  • Full-time position.
  • Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
  • Proven trial experience, including acting as First Chair during trials.
  • Experience in general litigation, motion practice, and deposition handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency (preferred).
  • Experience with SmartAdvocate® (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Team-oriented and client-focused.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Proven trial advocacy and litigation skills.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent client communication and customer service focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
