A law firm in Chicago is seeking an Asset Finance/Securitization Associate Attorney to handle a diverse range of securitization and structured finance transactions. The role involves direct interaction with clients and opposing counsel, with a focus on representing corporate clients or financial institutions in securitization transactions. Preference is given to candidates with experience in secured lending, capital markets, or securitization transactions, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents for securitization and structured finance transactions.
  • Conduct due diligence and assist in the closing process of transactions.
  • Advise clients on legal and regulatory issues related to asset finance and securitization.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex matters.
  • Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel to facilitate transactions and resolve issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Illinois or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in asset finance, secured lending, capital markets, or securitization transactions.
  • Demonstrated interest in representing corporate clients or financial institutions in securitization matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Illinois.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to asset finance and securitization.
  • Ability to conduct due diligence and manage transaction closings.
