A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its team in a remote capacity, with the option for a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of general litigation experience, particularly in transportation law, and will be adept at managing cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:

  • Oversee a diverse litigation caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Draft, review, and ensure accuracy of pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations, showcasing strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a cohesive and supportive work environment.
  • Develop and implement proactive strategies for case resolution, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.
  • 3-5+ years of general litigation experience; first and/or second chair experience is highly desirable.
  • Trial experience is required.
  • Preferred experience in transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory matters.
  • Essential experience in deposition and motion practice.
  • Superior analytical skills complemented by strong written and oral communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in sophisticated technical tools and legal software.

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
