Job Overview: A law firm specializing in employment and labor law is seeking an experienced lawyer in Los Angeles, CA, to join its team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of California employment laws, litigation, and regulatory compliance.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters, including but not limited to discrimination, harassment, wage disputes, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Provide strategic advice and counseling to clients on various employment law issues, including compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on labor and employment law developments.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on complex cases and projects.

Requirements:

  • Active member and in good standing of the California Bar or eligible to waive into the Bar.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience practicing labor and employment law, strongly emphasizing California law.
  • Proven track record of handling employment litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and professionalism.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Certification or specialization in employment law preferred.
