Duties:

  • Drafting and preparing legal motions, briefs, and other written materials.
  • Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation efforts.
  • Actively participating in discovery, including the preparation of discovery requests and responses.
  • Managing cases and clients through all phases of litigation, from initial filing through resolution.
  • Engaging in deposition, hearing, and trial preparation.
  • Handling and coordinating legal aspects of ongoing litigation cases.
  • Assisting in strategy development and trial preparation in both state and federal courts.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of litigation experience, with a strong foundation in civil litigation practices.
  • Previous exposure to a variety of litigation areas such as energy, antitrust, employment, or securities preferred.
  • Prior clerkship experience with district or appellate courts is a plus.
  • Experience in drafting legal documents, managing discovery, and preparing for trial.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in Texas.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills:
