Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience

A law firm seeks two full-time Associate Attorneys to join its civil insurance defense practice in Coral Gables, FL. The firm specializes in first and third-party insurance defense cases. This role is ideal for attorneys with 0-3 years of experience who are eager to handle their case files and work closely with the Managing Partner. This position offers a path to partnership within five years, providing a unique opportunity for career growth in a boutique litigation firm.

Duties:

• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Assist in resolving conflicts in legal matters and advising clients on solutions.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in legal proceedings with guidance from the Managing Partner.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date client files for easy access by legal teams.
• Communicate regularly with clients, attorneys, paralegals, and other legal staff to ensure efficient case handling.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• 0-3 years of experience in civil litigation or insurance defense.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
