Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Mid-Level Immigration Associate Attorney with a strong background in business immigration. The ideal candidate should have significant experience handling various aspects of business immigration matters and be prepared to take on substantial responsibility, including extensive client interaction and management within a team-focused environment.

Job Duties:

  • Manage a caseload involving various business immigration matters such as H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, and EB-1 petitions.
  • Conducted legal research, drafted complex immigration petitions, and provided strategic immigration advice to clients.
  • Prepare clients for consular processing and immigration interviews.
  • Supervise and mentor junior associates, paralegals, and legal assistants as needed.
  • Assist with client development and participate in business development activities.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in Georgia or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing immigration law, strongly emphasizing business immigration.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently and efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Fortune 100 companies on complex immigration matters.
  • Fluency in languages other than English is a plus.
  • Prior experience in supervising junior associates and paralegals.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using immigration case management software and legal research databases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new areas of immigration law as needed.
  • Ethical conduct and professionalism in all interactions with clients and colleagues.

Certifications:

  • Certification from the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is preferred
