Job Overview:
A reputable law firm in Portland, OR, is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their commercial litigation practice. The successful candidate will be involved in handling complex commercial litigation matters across various legal forums, including trial and appellate courts.

Duties:

• Represent clients in complex commercial litigation cases at local, state, and federal levels

• Handle pre-trial motions, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal briefs

• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients in high-stakes commercial disputes

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client interactions

• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation proceedings

• Stay current with developments in commercial litigation law and trends

• Manage client relationships, ensuring high standards of service and communication

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation

• Strong academic background with excellent legal writing and research skills

• Proficiency in handling complex legal issues in both trial and appellate courts

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

• Exceptional communication and client service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

• Active bar membership in Oregon is preferred; Washington and/or California bar membership is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Oregon (preferred)

• Additional certifications or licensure in Washington and/or California are a plus
