Duties

  • Conduct opening and closing arguments, direct and cross-examinations, and maintain familiarity with case records
  • File necessary appeals and complete all required application processes
  • Communicate with the Social Security Administration on behalf of clients
  • Collect and organize medical documentation and other evidence for claims

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Social Security Disability law (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with empathy for clients facing challenging circumstances
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage significant responsibility

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active New York State Bar license (preferred)

Skills

  • Proficiency in Social Security Disability law and legal procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
