Litigation Associate Attorney

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court trials, hearings, and arbitration.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Develop case strategies and provide legal advice to clients.
• Manage case files, coordinating with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Attend depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
• Analyze evidence and prepare case summaries for trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements and provide recommendations to clients.
• Stay updated on legal developments and changes in laws relevant to the practice area.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and participate in firm-wide projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience.
• 1-3 years of insurance defense experience preferred.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Strong understanding of legal procedures and case management.
• Proven ability to handle complex litigation cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar.
