Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal counsel on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, and loan documents.
  • Conduct due diligence and review property titles, surveys, and zoning regulations.
  • Assist clients with development projects, including site acquisition, permitting, and compliance with local zoning laws.
  • Represent clients in factual estate-related disputes and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and external parties to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay current on developments in real estate law and provide strategic advice to clients based on evolving regulations and market trends.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate law within a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated transactional experience in commercial real estate law, including real estate transactions, leasing, lending, development, and zoning.
  • Active law license in Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio is required.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio Bar is required.

  • Strong understanding of commercial real estate law and related regulatory issues.
  • Ability to draft and negotiate complex real estate documents.
  • Proven track record of successful transaction management and client representation.
