Duties

• Manage wage and hour litigation cases, with a focus on defense work, particularly class actions.
• Apply expertise in California and federal wage and hour laws, including those related to overtime, and meal and rest periods.
• Handle the preparation and response to written discovery requests with minimal oversight.
• Conduct depositions and manage motions related to discovery issues.
• Develop and execute comprehensive discovery plans.
• Draft and oppose motions for class certification in wage and hour matters.
• Maintain strong client communication, demonstrating legal competence and strategic insight.
• Provide timely follow-up on case matters and communications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in wage and hour litigation, preferably class actions.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with California and federal wage and hour regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage written discovery processes.
• Proven deposition and motion practice experience in discovery matters.
• Expertise in drafting oppositions to motions for class certification.
• Strong ability to engage professionally with clients, providing strategic legal counsel.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Certifications

• A current and valid California State Bar license is required.
