Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in San Francisco is looking for an Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience in litigation to join its team. This position focuses on a variety of complex legal matters related to consumer products, including Proposition 65 compliance, false advertising claims, consumer class actions, and product liability. The selected candidate will gain hands-on experience and actively contribute to high-stakes cases while working alongside experienced litigators.

Duties:

• Handle litigation matters involving consumer products, such as Proposition 65, false advertising, and product liability.
• Conduct legal research, prepare comprehensive case analyses, and draft motions.
• Participate in taking and defending depositions.
• Engage in motion practice and argue motions in court.
• Prepare for and attend hearings and depositions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial preparation, including drafting trial documents and exhibits.
• Provide timely legal updates to clients and senior attorneys.
• Attend trial proceedings as necessary.
• Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in litigation, particularly in consumer products and related legal areas.
• Proven ability to conduct legal research, draft motions, and prepare court documents.
• Experience in taking and defending depositions is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Interest in scientific or technical aspects of litigation is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California Bar, in good standing.

Skills:

• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Strong litigation experience, including motion practice and deposition handling.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with legal technology tools and case management software is beneficial.
