Attorney for Wichita office

A law firm specializing in Criminal Defense in Wichita, KS, is seeking an Attorney to join their team. The Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in criminal cases, preparing for and attending hearings, analyzing cases, and communicating with clients to achieve the best legal outcomes.

Duties:

• Prepare for and attend hearings on behalf of clients.
• Analyze criminal cases and develop effective trial strategies.
• Maintain open communication with clients, keeping them informed of case status and expected outcomes.
• Meet with potential and current clients, both in the office and via telephone, to provide legal counsel and support.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to discuss and plan actions on current and upcoming cases.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree.
• Preferred research and writing experience.
• Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and effectively in a group setting.
• Strong organizational skills to manage caseload efficiently.
• Adaptability to handle abrupt changes in case circumstances.
• Attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a dependable work ethic.

Experience:

• 1-6 years of legal practice experience.
