Job Overview: A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a talented Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction contracting and development and provide transactional and litigation support to clients across various industry sectors.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements in diverse industry sectors.
  • Negotiate EPC contracts for extensive infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on claims management, change orders, extra work claims, delay, and construction defect claims.
  • Support construction litigation and arbitration matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and preparing for depositions, mediations, and arbitration hearings/trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, legal colleagues, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce timely and high-quality work products, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices, fostering positive work relationships.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction contracting and related development work.
  • Experience with transactional and litigation support in construction and development projects.
  • Familiarity with industry form agreements (e.g., AIA forms) is essential.
  • Preferred experience in litigation or arbitration matters.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
