A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a motivated and skilled Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in litigation, with a background in drafting and arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Experience in class action defense, financial services, and/or bad faith insurance litigation is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, strong academic credentials, and be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.

Duties:

  • Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and discovery motions, in both state and federal courts.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Manage a caseload from inception through resolution, including case preparation, strategy development, and execution.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and argumentation.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediations, focusing on litigation matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and provide updates on case status.
  • Handle complex litigation issues, including class action defense, financial services, and bad faith insurance litigation, if applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case files and documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to ongoing cases.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in litigation, with a demonstrated ability to draft and argue motions and take and defend depositions.
  • Experience in class action defense, financial services, and/or bad faith insurance litigation is a plus.
  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Must be admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
