Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Patent Prosecution and Litigation Associate to join their dynamic IP Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IP litigation, including substantial experience in case management, depositions, expert coordination, and both PTAB and trial proceedings. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex IP cases while supervising junior associates and paralegals in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Lead and manage patent litigation cases from inception through trial.
• Conduct and manage depositions, and collaborate with experts in various technical fields.
• Prepare and argue motions and other litigation-related briefs.
• Oversee case management, including preparation for hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals in day-to-day case responsibilities.
• Provide strategic guidance on case developments and communicate directly with clients on key issues.
• Participate in PTAB proceedings and other post-grant challenges.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IP litigation, including motion practice, depositions, expert coordination, and case management.
• Proven experience in managing cases independently and supervising junior team members.
• Familiarity with PTAB or trial proceedings.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to handle a significant caseload with strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in California or eligibility to become licensed in California as soon as possible.
• Admitted to the USPTO is a plus.
