A law firm in Dallas, TX, is actively seeking a Patent Agent with 1-4 years of experience in patent application preparation and prosecution. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, materials sciences, or chemical engineering. Preferred candidates will have a background in semiconductor processing and electronic fabrication methods, along with strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills. Proficiency in Mandarin is also desirable for this role.

Duties:

  • Prepare and prosecute patent applications in the specified technical fields.
  • Collaborate with inventors, attorneys, and clients to gather necessary information for patent drafting.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of technical documents and prior art to ensure comprehensive patent applications.
  • Engage in communication with patent examiners to address inquiries and facilitate successful patent prosecution.
  • Provide legal and technical support for intellectual property matters related to semiconductor processing and electronic fabrication.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in patent application preparation and prosecution.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, materials sciences, or chemical engineering.

Skills:

  • Well-developed skills in patent application preparation and prosecution.
  • Legal and/or technical experience with semiconductor processing and electronic fabrication methods (preferred).
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to read and speak Mandarin (preferred).
