The role involves managing a high-volume caseload, leading litigation efforts, and advocating for clients in court. Duties

  • Caseload Management: Oversee approximately 150 cases, including 50 actively in litigation each month, from intake to resolution.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain transparent and consistent communication with clients to ensure clarity and trust throughout the legal process.
  • Litigation Activities: Conduct depositions, handle mediations, draft and respond to motions, and develop effective case strategies.
  • Trial Advocacy: Served as lead counsel in jury trials, representing clients with dedication and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Legal Experience: Minimum of 3 years in personal injury or civil litigation; 5-8 years preferred. Plaintiff-side experience is advantageous.
  • Trial Background: At least 5 first-chair jury verdicts are required; 10 or more are preferred. In-depth knowledge of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence is essential.
  • Licensure: Active member in good standing with the Kentucky State Bar; additional state bar admissions are a plus.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate legal strategies and maintain effective client relationships.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Kentucky State Bar membership is required.
