Job Overview:
A well-established and rapidly growing business immigration law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate Attorney to join its team. The firm specializes in supporting companies and individuals in the technology, biotech, fintech, and related sectors. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of business immigration experience and the ability to manage a caseload of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters. This role offers a hybrid work environment and is focused on delivering exceptional legal counsel while providing outstanding client service.

Location:

  • Mountain View, CA

Duties:

  • Manage a caseload of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa matters, including O-1, H-1B, L-1, E-2, EB-1, PERM, and NIW cases
  • Advise clients on immigration strategy, compliance, and documentation
  • Prepare and review petitions, applications, and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Provide exceptional client service, communicate regularly with clients, and address questions
  • Conduct client meetings to gather information and explain immigration processes
  • Collaborate with paralegals and other team members to ensure timely case handling
  • Stay updated with changes in U.S. immigration laws, policies, and trends
  • Draft legal correspondence, including responses to RFEs, appeals, and case updates

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
  • Minimum of 2 years of business immigration experience
  • Experience with O-1, EB-1, NIW, and PERM cases
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with virtual communication tools
  • Strong computer and software competencies (Experience with INSZoom case management software preferred)
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote, and dynamic environment
  • A proactive, collaborative, and client-focused mindset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage complex immigration cases with attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong client-facing communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in INSZoom or similar immigration case management software
