Duties

• Conduct due diligence in corporate transactions
• Perform legal research and analysis
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents
• Advise on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, and governance matters
• Collaborate with clients to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Manage key components of diverse corporate matters, ensuring compliance with legal regulations
• Work on interdisciplinary projects, particularly in the healthcare and life sciences industries

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant corporate and transactional experience
• Proven track record of managing corporate matters such as mergers, joint ventures, and governance issues
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work directly with clients and deliver high-quality legal services

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar (NJ Bar admission also acceptable)

Certifications

• Connecticut Bar admission in good standing
• New Jersey Bar admission is a plus

There is a business casual dress code, but associates are expected to keep professional clothing at the office in case of short notice meetings. All associates are expected to spend at least 50 hours annually on pro bono, and this is part of their billable hour expectation of 1800.
