Job Overview: A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate Litigation Attorney to join its team in Akron, NY. This full-time position offers the opportunity to manage a variety of cases across multiple practice areas, including estate planning, corporate law, commercial litigation, landlord-tenant issues, personal injury, DWI/criminal defense, and family/matrimonial law. Location:

Duties:

  • Support partners and independently manage cases across multiple practice areas

  • Conduct consultations with prospective clients and provide legal advice on a broad range of matters

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, discovery demands, responses, motions, legal memorandums, and other legal documents

  • Prepare for and conduct depositions, arbitrations, and trials

  • Represent clients in court appearances across various counties, including Erie, Niagara, Genesee, Wyoming, Orleans, Monroe, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua

  • Collaborate with clients and support staff to ensure high-quality legal representation

Requirements:

  • Admission to practice law in New York

  • A minimum of 5 years of legal experience in at least 2 of the firm’s practice areas

  • Trial experience is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency with new computer programs and legal software

  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in New York

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills

  • Strong client relationship management abilities

  • Ability to effectively represent clients in court

  • Proficiency with legal technology and software
