Job Overview:

A reputable law firm is seeking an experienced Private Equity Attorney to join their team. This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in private equity and mergers and acquisitions, who is ready to take on leadership responsibilities in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will provide key support to private equity fund and portfolio company clients, delivering strategic business and legal advice.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate purchase and merger agreements, LLC and LP agreements, and other transaction-related documents.
  • Manage private equity fund clients and their portfolio companies' day-to-day legal needs.
  • Collaborate closely with business teams to provide strategic legal and business advice.
  • Lead or support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior attorneys and staff.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of private equity and mergers and acquisitions experience.
  • Strong expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Bar in good standing, preferably in Massachusetts.
