Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in collection litigation

A law firm in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking an Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in commercial and retail collection litigation. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a high-volume practice, handling cases from inception through trial if necessary. Candidates with a judicial clerkship will also be considered in lieu of law firm experience. The attorney must possess strong research, writing, and negotiation skills, with admission to the NJ and/or PA Bar. Experience in Pennsylvania litigation is highly desirable.

Duties:

• Handle a high-volume caseload of commercial and retail collection litigation matters from inception to resolution, including trials if necessary.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda of law.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and clients.
• Represent clients in court, including pre-trial hearings, trials, and post-trial motions.
• Develop and execute effective litigation strategies for commercial and retail collection matters.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and legal advice.
• Work collaboratively with support staff and other attorneys in the firm.

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in commercial and retail collection litigation, or judicial clerkship in lieu of law firm experience.
• Strong ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.
• Proven experience handling cases through all phases of litigation, including trials.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar required; Pennsylvania Bar admission highly desirable.
• Experience in PA litigation is a strong plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and deadlines.

Education:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.
• Pennsylvania Bar admission is highly desirable.
