This position offers an opportunity to be involved in high-profile litigation matters while managing various responsibilities, from trial preparations to strategic project management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in litigation and be able to contribute to both the firm's clients and internal operations.

Duties:

  • Participate as a key member of trial teams, with a focus on trial calendar management.
  • Draft and prepare briefs, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Assist in preparing witnesses for depositions and trial.
  • Oversee long-term projects, ensuring they align with the firm’s strategic goals.
  • Assist in managing staffing requirements and collaborate with partners to identify resource needs.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for new attorneys joining the team.
  • Prepare client communications, including newsletters and presentations.
  • Contribute to business development efforts, including creating pitches and thought leadership content.
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to ensure efficiency and alignment on client matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience.
  • Exceptional legal writing, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex legal information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong experience with e-discovery and discovery management tasks.
  • Prior experience preparing for trials, depositions, and hearings.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong project management and prioritization abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the WV State Bar and eligibility to practice law.

Skills:

  • Litigation skills, including drafting legal documents and motions.
  • Expertise in e-discovery and discovery processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
