Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm located in Houston, TX, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its legal team. This role involves representing individuals who have been harmed due to asbestos exposure, as well as engaging in various complex litigation cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills and a passion for advocating for clients in challenging legal matters.

Duties:

  • Represent clients affected by asbestos exposure and other related cases.
  • Meet with prospective clients to present the firm’s legal services and assess case viability.
  • Manage the process of obtaining medical, military, social security, employment, and union records.
  • Conduct research and investigation into worksites, equipment, and products involved in cases.
  • Handle all aspects of asbestos-related case preparation and litigation.
  • Oversee lien resolution and ensure accurate case documentation.
  • Engage in legal drafting, including complaints, motions, and other relevant documents.
  • Participate in litigation activities such as hearings, depositions, settlement conferences, and mediations across the U.S.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with clients throughout case proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney with active Bar admission.
  • Prior experience in asbestos litigation, personal injury, or related fields is preferred.
  • Demonstrated case management skills and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar License required.

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to handle a diverse caseload.
