Job Overview: A law firm seeks a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join their team, focusing on foreclosure law. The successful candidate will be well-versed in handling a wide variety of foreclosure-related legal matters and will play an integral role in representing clients through every step of the foreclosure process. This role provides the opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment, gaining exposure to complex cases and offering exceptional legal solutions to clients. 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all stages of foreclosure proceedings, including pre-foreclosure, foreclosure litigation, and post-foreclosure matters.
  • Draft, file, and review various legal documents such as complaints, motions, pleadings, and responses in foreclosure cases.
  • Advise clients regarding foreclosure avoidance strategies, including loan modifications, short sales, and other alternatives.
  • Negotiate settlements between clients and creditors to avoid foreclosure when possible.
  • Prepare clients for court appearances and represent them in foreclosure hearings and trials.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on foreclosure laws, statutes, and relevant case law.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals, including paralegals, senior attorneys, and support staff, to develop strategies for client representation.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring all legal deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
  • Provide exceptional client service and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the state bar with a clear standing.
  • Experience in foreclosure law, with a proven track record in foreclosure litigation and client representation.
  • Strong understanding of foreclosure-related processes, including relevant state and federal laws.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Prior courtroom experience is a plus.

Certifications:

  • Active state bar membership is required.
