Healthcare Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Healthcare Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Business Trial Practice Group in the New York office. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on high-stakes healthcare and life sciences litigation, including complex commercial disputes, False Claims Act matters, and internal investigations related to fraud and whistleblower complaints. The ideal candidate will gain exposure to cutting-edge legal issues while collaborating with a highly regarded, nationally recognized team.

Duties:

• Represent clients in a range of healthcare and life sciences litigation, including commercial disputes and investigations.
• Handle matters related to the False Claims Act, providing both defense and guidance in investigations.
• Assist in internal investigations for healthcare organizations addressing fraud, compliance issues, and whistleblower claims.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, contributing to legal strategies and execution.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Provide legal advice to clients on healthcare regulations and compliance.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Participate in case preparation, including legal research and analysis of key issues.

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a focus on healthcare, life sciences, or False Claims Act matters.
• Proven ability to manage complex litigation and investigations independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and precision.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Ability to work well within a team and contribute to collaborative efforts.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the New York State Bar.
