Job Overview:
A law firm in San Francisco, California, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their team. The Immigration Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in immigration court, handling family-based immigration applications, and managing a variety of legal issues related to immigration, including appeals. Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration court, including removal proceedings and appeals

  • Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents related to immigration cases
  • Advocate for clients' rights during interviews and hearings
  • Communicate with clients, government agencies, and other legal professionals

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience practicing immigration law
  • Experience with removal proceedings, affirmative asylum applications, and interviews
  • Strong knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Proven experience in client representation, including court appearances
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in any state

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing
  • Advocacy and courtroom skills
  • Client management and communication
  • Familiarity with immigration case documentation and paperwork
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
