Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of litigation from intake through disbursement
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis
  • Draft and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Conduct depositions and interviews with witnesses and experts
  • Prepare and present cases in court
  • Negotiate settlements and engage in mediation when necessary
  • Maintain detailed and organized case files
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff
  • Stay current with developments in personal injury law and relevant legal precedents

Requirements

  • License to practice law in South Carolina
  • 5+ years of civil litigation experience
  • 3+ years of plaintiff's personal injury experience
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in discovery, motions, depositions, and trials
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present arguments in a courtroom setting
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases

Education and Certifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar
