A law firm in Lake Oswego is seeking a skilled Default Servicing Attorney with a focus on foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, mediation, compliance, and litigation. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Oregon foreclosure processes and litigation rules, excellent communication skills, and be an active member of the Oregon State Bar. The position involves handling various facets of work, including client system updating, mediation, court hearing attendance, pleading drafting, appellate briefing, and more. Preference will be given to candidates with compliance experience, industry connections, a portable book of business, and a Washington State Bar license.

 

Duties:

  • Handle foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, mediation, compliance, and litigation cases.
  • Independently assist on various facets of work, including client system updating, mediation handling, and court hearing attendance throughout the state.
  • Draft general and basic pleadings and appellate briefs.
  • Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Utilize an in-depth understanding of Oregon foreclosure processes and litigation rules.

 

Requirements:

  • 3 years of Oregon-specific experience in mortgage default servicing.
  • Knowledge of default and REO litigation.
  • Washington State Bar license (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable independently handling various aspects of legal work.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Oregon State Bar.
  • Washington State Bar license (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in foreclosure processes and litigation rules in Oregon.
  • Client relation skills.
