Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced Investment Funds Associate to join its Secondaries Investment Funds team. This position involves handling a broad range of secondary investment transactions, providing legal support for private equity secondaries deals, fund formations, and secondary market transactions. The role requires strong legal expertise in private equity and secondaries, with the ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.

Location:

  • Washington, D.C.

Duties:

  • Advise on secondary investment transactions and private equity secondaries deals.

  • Provide legal support for fund formations and secondary market transactions.

  • Draft and negotiate fund-related agreements and transaction documents.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks governing private equity and secondary transactions.

  • Assist clients in structuring complex investment deals.

  • Work closely with senior legal professionals to navigate intricate fund-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in investment funds, secondaries, or private equity transactions.

  • Strong background in fund formations and secondary market deals.

  • Ability to manage complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.

  • General corporate experience is beneficial.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation abilities.
