Job Overview: A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will independently manage a diverse caseload, representing clients in defense litigation across various practice areas. This role requires significant experience in Labor & Employment, Healthcare, and/or HOA litigation, with a strong ability to handle complex cases from inception to resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a defense litigation caseload from beginning to end.
  • Represent clients in a wide range of litigation cases, including Labor & Employment, Healthcare, and HOA disputes.
  • Handle court appearances and depositions regularly.
  • Prepare and review legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to clients.
  • Develop and implement case strategies and legal arguments.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and other attorneys to build and present cases effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of defense litigation experience in Labor & Employment, Healthcare, and/or HOA litigation.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the Florida Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
