Family Law Attorney

A law firm in Ventura, CA is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney with a passion for family law and a strong background in legal research and drafting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing family law cases, preparing legal documents, and representing clients in hearings and trials. The role requires effective communication with clients, courts, and other parties, as well as maintaining organized and up-to-date case files.

Duties:

• Prepare and draft legal documents related to family law cases, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and client advisories.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other relevant parties.
• Maintain and manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized, accurate, and up-to-date.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and trials, providing strong representation and advocacy for clients.
• Stay informed about family law rules, procedures, and legal developments to provide accurate and current advice.
• Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and provide high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in California.
• 2 years of previous experience working in family law.
• Strong knowledge of family law rules, procedures, and litigation processes.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Demonstrated proficiency in legal drafting and case management.
