A well-established law firm based in Detroit, MI, is looking to hire a Workplace Law Associate Attorney. This position requires an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law. The ideal candidate will take on various legal responsibilities, including drafting legal documents, managing discovery, conducting research, and attending hearings. The role will also involve counseling employers and providing support to senior attorneys on complex workplace law matters.

Duties:

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on workplace law issues
• Draft legal documents, including employment contracts, policies, and other related materials
• Manage the discovery process for workplace law cases
• Attend hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
• Counsel employers on compliance with workplace laws and regulations
• Provide support to senior attorneys on workplace law matters
• Assist in the preparation of cases for litigation and provide strategic input

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law
• Strong research, drafting, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in managing legal projects and client relationships
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Membership in the Michigan Bar

Certifications:

• Active Michigan Bar License
