Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Antitrust Associate Attorney to join their team in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and a demonstrated background in mergers and acquisitions, HSR (Hart-Scott-Rodino Act), merger compliance, and transactional counseling. This position offers the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the antitrust practice and receive significant responsibility early on.

Duties:

• Conducted legal research and provided legal analysis on antitrust issues related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Advise clients on HSR filings and merger compliance matters.
• Counsel clients on antitrust implications of business transactions and provide strategic advice.
• Assist in preparing and submitting merger notifications and other regulatory filings.
• Represent clients in investigations and proceedings before antitrust enforcement agencies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents and agreements.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex antitrust matters.
• Stay current on developments in antitrust law and regulations to ensure compliance and provide up-to-date advice.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in antitrust law, specifically in mergers and acquisitions, HSR, merger compliance, and transactional counseling.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Large firm or relevant government agency experience is preferred.
• Federal clerkship experience is strongly considered.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Illinois.
