A law firm based in Shreveport is seeking a Litigation Partnership Track Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of general litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in taking depositions, writing motions, responding to discovery, and working closely with partners on all phases of litigation. They should possess excellent academic credentials, strong research, writing, communication, and advocacy skills. The candidate should be able to independently manage a caseload from beginning to end, handle court appearances and depositions, lead client communication, and provide meaningful updates. A current State Bar license is required.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including rapid response investigations, case reporting, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate closely with partners on case strategy and execution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Manage client relationships, provide regular updates, and handle client communication.
  • Prepare for and participate in trials and arbitrations.
  • Develop and implement case strategies and tactics.
  • Attend mediation and settlement conferences.
  • Work with a team to ensure timely and effective case resolution.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Louisiana or ability to waive in.
  • Minimum of 2 years of general litigation experience.
  • Experience with depositions, motions, and discovery.
  • Excellent academic credentials with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload from start to finish.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Current State Bar license in good standing.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Louisiana or ability to waive in.
