Job Overview: A law firm in Spokane, WA, is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to handle complex legal matters precisely and efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and appeals in state and federal courts.
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other correspondence.
  • Represent clients in courtroom proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Manage a diverse caseload independently while contributing to team goals and priorities.
  • Maintain communication with clients, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries effectively.
  • Adhere to ethical standards and legal best practices in all aspects of legal representation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar with an active license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in complex commercial and employment litigation, including courtroom and trial experience.
  • Preferably experience in copyright and trademark litigation.
  • Strong academic credentials, judicial clerkship, or law review experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and willingness to learn from senior attorneys.
