Job Overview: A law firm located in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney to join its team. Duties:

  • Provide counsel on complex estate planning and asset protection strategies.
  • Manage trust and estate settlements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Prepare and file transfer tax returns for high-net-worth clients.
  • Handle international estate planning matters, with a focus on cross-border tax and estate issues.
  • Advise clients on legal strategies to minimize estate and gift taxes.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop tailored solutions for unique estate planning needs.
  • Stay current on changes in tax law and estate planning regulations.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in trusts and estates law.
  • Comprehensive experience with estate planning, asset protection, and trust administration.
  • Proficiency in handling transfer tax return preparation.
  • Experience in international estate planning (preferred).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • LL.M. in Taxation is required.

Certifications:

  • An active member of The Florida Bar in good standing.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage complex legal matters.
