A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level Associate to join its Labor & Employment Department in either the Los Angeles office. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in employment law, particularly in representing employers in litigation and providing legal counsel.

Duties:

  • Represent employers in employment law matters, including litigation and advisory roles.
  • Handle cases related to discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful discharge actions.
  • Guide wage and hour laws and class action matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and employment agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop effective legal solutions and enhance the firm's national practice.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in labor and employment law, with at least two years specific to California.
  • Strong background in litigation related to discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims.
  • Experience in wage and hour laws and class action litigation.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Exceptional writing, drafting, and communication skills.
  • High level of academic achievement and law firm experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
