Job Title: Securities Attorney - Investment Funds Group (Professional Track)

Job Overview:

A prestigious law firm based in Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced Securities Attorney to join its Investment Funds Group. This role focuses on managing structured securities offerings, with an emphasis on commercial real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. The attorney will represent a diverse range of clients, including public and private real estate companies, REITs, institutional investors, and financial entities. This is a professional track position with no partnership track.

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings for real estate transactions.
  • Advise clients on real estate finance, acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
  • Represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and financial institutions.
  • Draft and review transactional documents related to commercial real estate deals.
  • Conduct due diligence and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to execute complex financings.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel on investment fund structuring and development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of securities laws and market trends.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings.
  • Strong background in commercial real estate law, finance, and transactions.
  • Experience working with institutional investors, REITs, and financial entities.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Attention to detail and sound business judgment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Capacity to manage competing demands under pressure.
