Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Baltimore, MD, is looking for an experienced and motivated Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This position will involve managing a caseload of personal injury litigation cases, representing clients in legal proceedings, and preparing cases for trial. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury law and a strong background in litigation.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, wrongful death, and more.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses for litigation.
• Conduct depositions, represent clients in hearings, and prepare cases for trial.
• Collaborate with legal assistants to develop case strategies, prepare witnesses, and present evidence.
• Perform legal research and write legal briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and ensure they are well informed throughout the process.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel in the best interest of clients.
• Ensure all filings and court submissions comply with the procedural rules of Maryland, D.C., and Virginia courts.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of personal injury litigation experience.
• Strong litigation skills with experience in trial preparation and representation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple cases effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate favorable settlements.
• Proficiency with case management software and litigation tools.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Virginia.
