Job Overview:
A law firm seeks a motivated and bilingual Business Immigration Associate to join its legal team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of business immigration cases, with the potential to be based remotely or in a hybrid setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in business immigration law and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish. Duties:

  • Prepare and manage business immigration cases, including O-1, L-1, H-1B, H-2B, EB-1A, EB-1C, EB-2 NIW, E-2, and PERM.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal filings for immigration-related federal court actions.
  • Gradually assume responsibility for a varied caseload of business immigration matters.
  • Collaborate closely with lawyers, paralegals, and clients in a non-hierarchical, team-based environment.
  • Participate in complex and interesting immigration cases from the start, with opportunities for professional growth and ownership of work.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
  • Licensed or eligible for bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to self-organize and manage workload efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle legal writing and research.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Genuine interest in business immigration law and a commitment to learning and mastering the field.
  • Preferred: 1-4 years of experience in U.S. immigration law, particularly in business immigration.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed or eligible for bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required for effective client communication.
