Job Title: Associate Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Immigration Attorney. As an Associate, you will manage a variety of cases, represent clients in immigration proceedings, and collaborate closely with a team of professionals. Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and strategic solutions to clients on immigration matters.
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a caseload of diverse immigration cases, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
  • Conduct client intake interviews and assess case details, particularly for detained individuals.
  • Prepare and file immigration applications, petitions, and legal briefs.
  • Work closely with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on matters relating to immigration law.
  • Meet with potential clients for consultations to develop tailored immigration strategies.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to determine case benefits and strategic options.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1-4 years of experience practicing immigration law.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a varied caseload efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR proceedings, legal writing, detained cases, citizenship matters, and USCIS applications.
  • Proficiency in case management software is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. state is required.
