Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney

A law firm based in New York City is seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney with a strong interest in insurance coverage law. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience, preferably with some exposure to insurance coverage matters. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in insurance coverage disputes, including advising on policy interpretation and providing counsel on potential exposure.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on insurance law matters to support litigation and advisory roles.
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Handle all aspects of insurance coverage litigation from inception to conclusion, including pre-trial preparation, discovery, depositions, and courtroom advocacy.
• Communicate regularly with clients to update on case developments, offer strategic legal advice, and foster strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and legal staff to ensure comprehensive legal services are provided.
• Stay current with developments in insurance law and relevant case law to advise clients accurately.
• Participate in firm marketing activities, including publishing articles or speaking at industry events, to promote insurance law expertise.

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with a strong interest in insurance coverage law.
• Prior experience in insurance coverage is preferred.
• Proven ability to handle multiple assignments with attention to detail and in compliance with deadlines.
• Experience managing all phases of insurance litigation, from pre-suit investigations to trials.
• Licensed to practice law in New York and good standing with the New York State Bar.

Educational Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar is required.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York State Bar Association.
